OSCE final report on 2011parliamentary elections in Finland, p. 19

“If the court determines that the decision or actionof an election authority was unlawful and this unlawfulness has clearlyaffected the election result, a new election is held, or, whenever possible, the election result is rectified.”

Comments: In Finland, it is not possible to make appeals related to registrationand nomination of political contestants. Such complaints can be filed after theelection results have been published, based on the claim that the mistake inregistration/nomination has caused the election results to be invalid. Hence, the only remedy available is to call for a new vote.
