13. Is there a ban on donations from any other source?

Article 4 & 6, Law on Financing of Political Organisations (Parties), the amended version of law 01.12.2017 in force from 01.01.2018, No.  114 (397).

All donations from legal persons are banned.

6.(1)Natural persons shall not be allowed to finance political organisations (parties) from gifts and loans from other persons. 

Natural persons who have been punished with prohibition to be a candidate for the election of the Saeima, the European Parliament orlocal council, are prohibited to finance political organisations (parties) bygifts and donations. 

6.3 It is prohibited to finance political organisations (parties) through a third party.
