Article 157. Preclusion of a citizen from freeexercise of the right to vote, or the right to take part in a referendum,preclusion of activities of other parties of the election process, aninitiative group to conduct a referendum, referendum committee, member of anelection committee, member of an initiative group to conduct a referendum,member of a referendum committee, or an official observer while fulfillingtheir duties, accompanied by bribery, deception or coercion, as well as evadingfrom fulfilling the duties imposed on a member of an election committee withoutany sufficient reason, -

shall be punishableby a fine of 300 to 500 tax-free minimum incomes, or restraint of liberty for aterm of two years, or imprisonment for the same term, with the deprivation ofthe right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for aterm up to three years.

 

 

Article 157. 2. The same actions accompanied by violence, destruction of ordamage to property, threat to apply violence or destroy or damage property, -

 

shall be punishable by restraint of liberty for a term up to threeyears, or imprisonment for the same term, with the deprivation of the right tooccupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term up of oneto three years.

 

Article 157. 3. Any such acts as provided for by paragraph 1 or 2 of thisArticle, committed by a group of persons upon their prior conspiracy, or by amember of election committee or any other official through abuse of authorityor office, - shall be punishable by restraint of liberty for a term of two tofive years, or imprisonment for the same term, with the deprivation of theright to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term oftwo to three years.
