355 Requisites of petition

(c) be signedby a candidate at the election in dispute or by a

person who wasqualified to vote thereat, or, in the case of

the choice orthe appointment of a person to hold the place of

a Senator undersection 15 of the Constitution or section 44

of this Act, bya person qualified to vote at Senate elections

in the relevantState or Territory at the date of the choice or

appointment;

357Petition by Electoral Commission

(1) The Electoral Commission is entitled to file a petitiondisputing an election.

(1A) The Electoral Commission shall file a petition disputing anelection

in relation to which a DRO has given notice under subsection

274(9C).

(2) Paragraphs 355(c) and (d) do not apply in relation to apetition filed by the Electoral Commission disputing an election but such a petitionshall be signed by the Electoral Commissioner for and on behalf of theCommission.
