ChapterXIII CRIMES OF INFRINGING UPON CITIZENS DEMOCRATIC FREEDOMS

Article126.- Infringement upon citizens rights to vote, to stand for election

1.Those who resort to deception, buying off, coercion or other tricks to obstructthe exercise of citizens rights to vote and/or the right to stand for electionshall be subject to warning, non-custodial reform for up to one year or aprison term of between three months and one year.

2.Committing the crime in one of the following circumstances, the offenders shallbe sentenced to between one and two years of imprisonment:

a)In an organized manner;

b)Abusing their positions and/or powers;

c)Causing serious consequences.

3.The offenders may also be banned from holding certain posts for one to fiveyears.

Article127.- Falsifying election returns

1.Those who are responsible for organizing and supervising elections but forgepapers, commit vote fraud or employ other tricks to falsify the electionreturns shall be subject to non-custodial reform for up to two years or aprison term of between six months and two years.

2.Committing the crime in one of the following circumstances, the offenders shallbe sentenced to between one and three years of imprisonment:

a)In organized manner;

b)Causing serious consequences.

3.The offenders may also be banned from holding certain posts for one to fiveyears.
