Art. 177. (CAUSALES DE NULIDAD DEL ACTAELECTORAL).
III. “Declaradala nulidad, se repetir? el acto de votaci?n en la mesa de sufragiocorrespondiente, con el mismo padr?n y con nuevos jurados electorales, elsegundo domingo siguiente de realizada la elecci?n.”
Art. 178. (PROHIBICI?N DE MODIFICARRESULTADOS).
Los Tribunales Electorales Departamentales no podr?n, porning?n motivo, modificar los resultados de las mesas de sufragio, salvo lacorrecci?n de errores aritm?ticos en la totalizaci?n de votos, de la cu?ldejar?n debida constancia en el Acta.”

If a complaint is upheld by the competent DepartmentalElectoral Tribunal, the act on the election results is invalidated and theelection in the relevant polling station shall be repeated the second Sundayafter the first election, with the same electoral roll but different members ofthe Electoral Board. The Departmental Electoral Tribunals cannot themselvesmodify the results, but they can only correct arithmetic errors.
