Article146. Violation of Legislation on Organizing, Holding of Elections or Referendum

Violationof secrecy of a ballot, forgery of election or referendum documents, makingfalse entries into ballots or subscription lists, knowingly false count ofvotes committed during organization and/or holding of elections or referendumby officials, representatives of political parties or self-government bodies,members of initiative group or election/referendum commissions –

shallbe punished with fine from twenty-five to fifty minimal monthly wages orcorrectional labor from two to three years, or imprisonment up to three years.

Article147. Impediment to Exercising Electoral Right or Powers of Agents

Impedimentto free exercising by individuals their right to elect or to be electedparliament members or President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, to carry outpre-election campaign, or of exercising their powers by the agents ofparliamentary or presidential candidates of the Republic of Uzbekistan, by wayof violence, threats, deception, or bribe, or of impediment to freeparticipation of individuals in a referendum –

shallbe punished with correctional labor up to three years, or arrest up to sixmonths, or imprisonment up to five years.
