Article77. 1. Not later than within 3 days of the officialproclamation of the election results the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuaniamay appeal to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania with theinquiry whether or not this Law has been violated during the elections ofPresident of the Republic.

2. The Constitutional Court of theRepublic of Lithuania shall investigate and evaluate the decision only of theCentral Electoral Commission or its refusal to investigate complaintsconcerning the violations of this Law in the cases when decisions have beenadopted or other actions of the Central Electoral Commission have beenperformed after the closing of voting during the election of President of theRepublic.

3. This inquiry referred to in paragraph1 of this Article shall be investigated by the Constitutional Court of theRepublic of Lithuania not later than within 72 hours of its submission to theConstitutional Court. This term shall include non-working days as well.

Comment
It is not entirely clear which is the last instancebody adjudicating cases related to election results. The Constitutional Courtinvestigates the issues and gives a recommendation to the Parliament, whichmakes the final decision. It’s not clear, however whether Parliament candisregard the conclusions of the Constitutional Court in making the decision on(dis)approving the election results.
