NEC official's response: In public office elections, voters can cast their votes either through early voting or election day voting. When they participate in voting on election day, voters can vote only at polling stations under their address jurisdiction; in this case, voters list in the form of a book is used to identify the voters, not electronic equipment. On the other hand, during early voting, for the convenience of voters, voters are allowed to vote anywhere in the country regardless of their address during the early voting period (5 to 2 days before the election day). Unlike election day voting, all voters' information is included in an integrated voters list - polling stations access the NEC’s integrated voters list server through a closed network exclusively used for election. In this process, electronic equipment (e.g. identification device, ballot paper printer, and communication devices) is used.
