What penalties are envisioned for offences related to obstructing the electoral process?

Article 279.Any person who by the use of violence or the threat of seriously detrimentalconsequences obstructs or disrupts a meeting, election or vote organised underthe terms of the constitution or the law, and

anyperson who by the use of violence or the threat of seriously detrimentalconsequences obstructs or disrupts the collection of signatures for or thehanding-over of a petition requesting a referendum or initiative,

isliable to a custodial sentence not exceeding three years or to a monetarypenalty.
