CONSTITUTION OF THEREPUBLIC OF SLOVENIA

V.SELF-GOVERNMENT

Art.143 Region

(1) A region is aself-governing local community that manages local affairs of wider importance,and certain affairs of regional importance provided by law.

(2) Regions areestablished by a law which also determines their territory, seat, and name.Such law is adopted by the National Assembly by a two-thirds majority voteof deputies present. The participation of the municipalities must be guaranteedin the procedure for adopting the law.
(3) The state transfers by law the performance of specific duties within thestate competence to the regions and must provide to them the necessaryfinancial resources to enable such.

3. Posvetovalni referendum

Art. 26. Državni zbor lahko razpišeposvetovalni referendum o vprašanjih iz svoje pristojnosti, ki so širšegapomena za državljane.

 

Art. 27. Državni zbor lahko razpišeposvetovalni referendum na celotnem območju države ali na določenem ožjemobmočju, kadar vprašanje zadeva samo prebivalce tega ožjega območja.
