Electoral law quota details

article 115 of the electoral law N° L93/038/CTRN DU 20/G8!1993 as amended by the LOI ORGANIQUE NO91/012/CTRN states that the candidate lists of the political parties must include a 30% women quota.

Parity shall apply to any list of candidates for national and local elections, as well as for the exercise of elective office in public institutions. (Parity Law, Article 2)

Political parties, coalitions of political parties and independent candidates, as well as the public institutions concerned, shall contribute to the implementation, at their level, of the parity rule established by this Law. (Parity Law, Article 7)
