The candidacies for the regional legislative councils, metropolitan councilors and councilors for the Alto Apure district council that are presented for the elections regulated by these regulations must have a equal and alternate composition, of fifty percent (50%) for each sex.In those cases where it is not possible to apply parity, said application must have a minimum of forty percent (40%) and a maximum of sixty percent (60 %) for each sex, (Art.16).
