2. Is there a ban on donations from foreign interests to candidates?

Article 41, para 3), letters, a), c), g)  of the electoral Code  nb. 1381 
of 21.11.1997  (as of 29.12.2017)

(3) There is a prohibition on financing or the material support in any form, direct and / or indirect, of the activity of  electoral campaigns / electoral candidates by:
a) legal entities from abroad, including those with mixed capital, by other states or international organizations, including international political organizations;
c) natural persons who are citizens of the Republic of Moldova from the income obtained abroad;
g) natural persons who are not citizens of the Republic of Moldova;
