2. Is there a ban on donations from foreign interests to candidates?

Direct or indirect support for the electoral campaign of candidates by foreign interest is prohibited. The ban cannot however 'be interpreted and enforced to limit funding allocated to support efforts to promote democratic values, international standards for free and fair elections'.
