The Political Parties Act 2017 (section 54(2) stipulates that no person or organisation shall, in any one year contribute to a political party an amount, whether in cash or in kind exceeding thirty percent of the annual total expenditure of the political party. The total expenditure referred to here shall be in relation to the audited accounts of the political party of previous year.
