Parties and political movements are entitled to free access to public media (TV and radio) when campaigning for elections and referenda. Political messages can also be distributed by local (private) broadcasters, which shall grant a 50 per cent discount on the regular prices applied to advertisement. Whenever private broadcasters grant political parties with free access to political communications, the state provides reimbursements for the costs incurred.
