58. What sanctions are provided for political finance infractions?

Fines can be applied for a series of violations. If a voter notifies the EMB that (s)he has been given money from an election committee (and the case is proven), (s)he will receive a 'bonus' of 10 times the value, and this amount is taken from the offender. Distribution of money can also lead to removal from office. Civil servants who participate in campaigning can be dismissed. Receiving illegal donations can lead to the nomination of a candidate being revoked.
