“…A political party that contest an election is entitled to…a temporary special measures grant of $10,000 payable annually for every woman elected into Parliament…” [58. (1) & (a)].

 “A woman elected as an independent candidate and chooses to remain as an independent Member of Parliament is not entitled to the temporary special measures grant payable under subsection (2).” [49 (4)]
