Who administers direct democracy mechanisms at the national level?

Law 134 on Political Participation (Official Gazette 41.373 of May 31, 1994)

Although there is no provision in the legal framework that explicitly indicates that the National Registry of the Civil Status is the body responsible to organize and conduct the direct democracy mechanisms, this is in practice the body responsible. Articles 10, 11, 108 and many sections of the Law 134 on Political Participation indicate that National Registry of the Civil Status take charge of most of the procedures of direct democracy mechanisms. ​
