Article41 (10).

The conduct of any referendumfor the purposes of this section shall be the responsibility of the ElectoralCommission and the provisions of sections 37 and 52 shall apply in relation tothe referendum as they apply in relation to elections of members of the Houseand legislation relating thereto.

 

Part 4, Article 57 (2), (3)and (4).

2. The Constituency BoundariesCommission shall consist of—

a) the Speaker, aschairperson;

b) two members appointed bythe Governor General, acting in accordance with the advice of the PrimeMinister; and

 

3. The Electoral Commissionshall consist of—

a) a chairperson appointed bythe Governor General, acting in his or her own deliberate judgment;

b) one member appointed by theGovernor General, acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister;and

c) one member appointed by theGovernor General, acting in accordance with the advice of the Leader of theOpposition.

 

4. A person shall not bequalified to be appointed as a member of a Commission if he or she is a Senatoror member of the House or a public officer nor, in the case of the chairpersonof the Electoral Commission, unless he or she holds one of the specifiedqualifications and has held one or other of those qualifications for a totalperiod of not less than 7 years.
