Article114. Initiative Group for Holding the Republican Referendum

The documents pertaining to theholding of the republican referendum, submitted by the initiative group, andthe question (draft decision) offered for the referendum shall be submitted bythe Central Commission for consideration and conclusion to the Ministry of Justice and the Office of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus, which shall verify the compliance of the question (draft decision) with the legislation ofthe Republic of Belarus and observance of the procedure of formation of theinitiative group.
The question (draft decision) offeredfor the referendum, taking into account the conclusion by the Ministry ofJustice and the Office of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus, and the composition of the initiative group shall be registered by the Central Commission. Registration shall be refusedin the event of a violation of legislation requirements.
An appeal against a refusal to register the initiative group may be filed within a month with the Supreme Court of the Republic of by the head of the initiativegroup.
Following the registration of theinitiative group, the Central Commission shall issue to it a registrationcertificate and a sample sheet for collection of the signatures of thecitizens, supporting the holding of the referendum, (hereinafter referred to asthe 'list of signatures') and the respective certificates to theinitiative group members.
