Article 72: All magistrates and otheroffices filled by popular vote are subject to revocation.

Once half ofthe term of office to which an official has been elected has elapsed, a numberof voters constituting at least 20% of the voters registered in the pertinentcircumscription may extend a petition for the calling of a referendum to revokesuch official's mandate.

When a numberof voters equal to or greater than the number of those who elected the officialvote in favor of revocation, provided that a number of voters equal to orgreater than 25% of the total number of registered voters* have voted in therevocation election, the official's mandate shall be deemed revoked, andimmediate action shall be taken to fill the permanent vacancy in accordancewith the provided for in this Constitution and by law.

The revocationof the mandate for the collegiate bodies shall be performed in accordance withthe law. During the term to which the official was elected, only one petitionto recall may be filed.

ART?CULO 13. Una vez transcurrida la mitaddel per?odo para el cual fue elegido popularmente el funcionario, podr?nsolicitar la convocatoria de referendo revocatorio de su mandato un n?mero nomenor del veinte por ciento (20%) de los electores inscritos en el registroelectoral para el momento de la solicitud, en la correspondientecircunscripci?n electoral, de conformidad con lo dispuesto en el art?culo 72 dela Constitución de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela.
