Article 15,Requirements in relation to indicative referendum petition.

(3)The promoter shalldeliver the indicative referendum petition to the Clerk of the House ofRepresentatives within 12 months after the date of the publication in the Gazette of the notice required by section 13(1)(b).

(4)Subject to section 20, no pages or signatures shall be added to anindicative referendum petition after it has been delivered to the Clerk of theHouse of Representatives.

(5)An indicativereferendum petition shall lapse if it is not delivered to the Clerk of theHouse of Representatives within the time prescribed by subsection (3).

Comment

The promoter of a citizensinitiated referenda has 12 months in which to obtain the signatures of 10% ofthe electors.  An indicative referendumwill lapse if not delivered to the Clerk of the House of Representatives withinthis period.
