PART IV. ELECTION PETITIONS Who may petition.

55….

 (4) Subject to any other provisions of thissection an election petition shall be presented within twenty-one days after the day on which theresult of the election has been declared.

(5) An election petitioncomplaining of the election on the grounds of any corrupt or illegal practiceand specifically alleging that a payment of money or other reward has been madeor promised since the election by a person elected at the election, or on hisaccount or with his privity, in pursuance or in furtherance of such corrupt orillegal practice may be presented at any time within twenty-eight days after the date of the alleged paymentor promise, whether or not any other petition against that person has beenpreviously presented or tried.
