Maximum complaint time since announcement of election results

Parliamentary Elections Act,No.1 of 1981

108. (1) Every electionpetition shall be presented within presentation twenty-one days of the date ofpublication of the result of the election in the Gazette: Prohibition ofdisclosure of vote.

Provided that an electionpetition questioning the return or the election upon the ground of a corrupt orillegal practice and specifically alleging a payment of money or other act tohave been made Or done since the date aforesaid by the member whose election isquestioned or by an agent of the member or with the privity of the member inpursuance or in furtherance of such corrupt or illeal practice may, so far asrespects such corrupt or illegal practice, be presented at any time withintwenty-eight days after the date of such payment or act
