Chapter 12 :: Elections of deputies to the Mazhilis of the Parliament

Article 100. Consideration by theConstitutional Council of the issue of correctness of holding elections ofdeputies of the Mazhilis
1. By the appeal of the Republic President, of the Chairman of the Senate, theChairman of Mazhilis, not less the one fifth part of the total number ofParliament deputies and the Prime-minister of the Republic which can besubmitted within ten daysafter summing up the results of the elections, the ConstitutionalCouncil solves the issue of correctness of holding the elections of deputies ofthe Mazhilis in case of a dispute. In this case, the registration of theelected deputies of the Mazhilis is suspended for the period of time forconsideration of the appeal.
