Requirement to issue reasoned decision

Unofficial translation:

Article 166: Every candidate or political party representative hasthe right to challenge the validity of voting procedures by submitting arequest in the form of a petition deposited in the Constitutional Council withinforty eight hours from announcing the results.

The Constitutional council inform the challenged contestant topresent his proof documents within four days from the date of notification.

The Constitutional council issue its decision within three daysafter the expiration of this term.

If it is determined thatthe appeal has basis, then the Constitutional council can issue its decisionwith justification either to cancel the contested election or rewrite theelection results and declare the candidate legally elected right.”
