Article 21: Everycandidate in an electorate has the right to contest in cassation courtthe results of the elections in his constituency within 15 days from the dateof announcement of the final election results. And if it was proven to thecourt then
-The court will review the documents and hear the statements of both theplaintiff and the accused and anyone else it sees fit to hear from.
- If the appeal is proven right then the member ship of the accused candidateis negated in this case the court has the right to appoint the person who hadactual won the election that is if the cause of the appeal or the complaintcall for a re run.
-the case between the plaintiff and the accused will not interfere in theduties and responsibilities of the accused in the parliament during the trialuntil the court passes a judgment on the appeal. The judgement will render themembership of the accused void from hence forth but will not affect his actionsbefore the judgement.”

Cassation Court is the highestcourt in the hierarchy of regular courts and it is not possible to challengeits rulings in front of any other courts. According to Bahraini judiciary law,there are four types of regular courts:

-       المحكمة الصغرى

-       المحكمة الكبرى المدنية

-      محكمة الاستئناف العليا المدنية

-       محكمة التمييز(CassationCourt)

The only exception here is tochallenge its rulings in front of the Constitutional Court and this is notmentioned in the Law Number 15 of 2002.
