The Representation of the People Act 1968, 46, 4746 Trial of election petition (1)During the trial of an election petition the Court may order?(a) the production and inspection of any rejected ballot paper; (b) the inspection of any counted ballot paper; or(c) the opening of any sealed packet of counterfoils of used ballot papers.(2)In making and carrying into effect the order, the Court shall ensure that the way in which the vote of any particular person has been given shall not be disclosed until it has been proved that the vote was given and the vote has been declared by the Court to be invalid. (3)No person who has voted at an election shall, in any legal proceeding to question the election or return, be required to state for whom he has voted.47 Rules of court Subject to this Act, rules as to the practice and procedure for the service and hearing of election petitions and as to the matters connected therewith and as to the practice and procedure in respect of any application made to the Court under regulations made for the conduct of elections to the Assembly may be made in like manner as rules under the Courts Act.http://aceproject.org/ero-en/regions/africa/MU/mauritius-representation-of-people-act-1958/at_download/file
