Trial of petitions.
57.(1) An election petition shall be heard in open court.
(2) At the conclusion of the trial the court shall determine whether theperson whose election is complained of, or any and if so, what other person wasduly elected, or whetherthe election was void and such determination shall be final to allintents as to the matters at issue on the petition.
General, partial and voidelections.

(4) If any election becomes void the Governor shall order a newelection to be held on a day to be appointed by him.
(5) Where a new election isordered under this section the election shall be conducted in the same manneras is directed by this Act for the conduct of the election in the place ofwhich the new election is ordered.
