Constitution 2005, Article 105
The High Court shall have jurisdiction to hear and determine anyquestion whether –
(a) any person has been validly elected or appointed as a Memberof Parliament;
(b) any person has been validly elected as President, DeputyPresident, Speaker or Deputy Speaker; or
(c) any person, having been validly elected as President, DeputyPresident, Speaker or Deputy Speaker, has validly vacated that office.

A personaggrieved by the determination of the High Court under this section may appealto the Supreme Court within thirtydays.

Time for presentation of petition.
9. (1) A petition relating tothe election of an elected Member shall be presented within fourteen calendardays from the date of publication of the result of the election under theprovisions of section 69 of the Elections Act.
(2) Notwithstanding subsection(1), a petition questioning the election upon the ground of a corrupt practiceand specifically alleging a payment of valuable consideration or any other actto have been made or done since the date referred to in subsection (1) by theMember whose election is questioned may, with respect to that corrupt practice,be presented at any time within fourteen days after the payment or act.
