ELECTION PETITIONS

Time for completion of trialof election petition

35A. The trial of every electionpetition shall be completed not later than six months from the date of thepresentation of the election petition.

Appeal

36. A. (2) Every appeal underthis section shall be presented within fourteen days from the date of thedetermination of the Election Judge under section 36 and such appeal shall bepresented in accordance with the rules of court applicable to appeals to the

Federal Court.

Time for completion of hearingof appeal

36B. Notwithstanding any other lawto the contrary, an appeal against the determination of an Election Judge shallbe heard and decided upon by the Federal Court within six months from the dateof presentation of the appeal.
