Challenges to theelection results can be filed based on the argument that an electedparliamentary member does not meet the requirements regarding candidacy, thatthe electoral list was otherwise put forward illegally, or that the member wasunlawfully elected. Such a complaint is sent to the Ministry of Justice, whichforwards it to the parliament (Althing). The parliament will investigate the complaintand deliver a ruling.
