Security by petitioner forcosts, &c., of election petition

11. (1). At the time of thepresentation of the petition or within three days afterwards, initial securityin the sum of twenty thousand rupees shall be given on behalf of the petitionerfor the payment of all costs, charges and expenses that may become payable bythe petitioner.

(2). The Court may, at anytime during the hearing of an election petition, determine the number ofcharges constituting each distinct ground on which the petitioner relies andorder the petitioner to give additional security calculated at the rate of fivethousand rupees for each such charge for the payment of all costs, charges andexpenses that may become payable by the petitioner. The security determinedunder this paragraph shall be payable on behalf of the petitioner within sevendays form such determination.

(3). The security referred toin paragraph (1) or (2) shall be given by a deposit of money.
