Requirement to hold a hearing

Articles (36):

The general committees shall probe all matters related to theballoting process and shall decide on the validity or in-validity of ballotingby voters.

Candidates may contest decisions made by the general electioncommittee with the Presidential Elections Commission exclusively.

The contest shall be submitted latest during the day following theissuance of the contested decision. The Presidential Elections

Commission shall decide onthe contest the next day, after hearing the contester's statement or after notifying him to appear before it and his failure to doso.

The Commission shall set out rules and procedures to be followedin considering and deciding on such contests.
