Requirement to hold a hearing

?        20th November,1995

?         Article 44 (6) The Constitutional Court,before hearing an election petition, shall require the petitioner to furnishsecurity of such nature and in such amount as the Court may direct for thepayment of costs, charges and expenses that may become payable by thepetitioner.

?        Article44 (5)A petitioner in an election petition may claim  (a) a declaration that theelection is void; or(b) a declaration that the nomination of a proportionatelyelected member of the National Assembly is void(c) a recount of the ballotpapers
