Requirement to issue reasoned decision
Sudan
For more information on appeal processbefore the Supreme Court please see Carter Centre final report (pages 50 – 55) http://www.cartercenter.org/resources/pdfs/news/peace_publications/election_reports/FinalReportSudan-Apr2010.pdf
There is no mention about this in theelection law but the Supreme court is always required to issue reasoneddecisions. In 2010, the Supreme court held one public hearing and dismissed 59appeals for lack of criminal jurisdiction. In all its decisions, the SupremeCourt presented the reasons for accepting/dismissing the appeal.
