What remedies are available in the last instance?

Constitution 1996, Articles 92(5)(6)

(5) When the SupremeCourt is determining any matter, other than an interlocutory matter, it shall becomposed of an uneven number of judges not being less than three except asprovided for under Article 41.

(6) The Chief Justicemay make rules with respect to the practice and procedure of the Supreme Courtin relation to jurisdiction and powers of the Supreme Court.

Post-election challenges to results canbe submitted to a full bench of the Supreme Court in the case of thepresidential election within 14 days of the swearing-in of the declared winner.

There is no time limit for dealing withthose cases and some in the past have taken years to reach judgment after thedeclared winner has been sworn in.
