Art. 142 (1): The Constitutional Court is responsibleto adjudicate any disputes regarding candidates for presidential, senatorialand legislative elections, as well as any petitions regarding voting operationsand the validity of the preliminary results announced by the CENI.

Art. 224: In case the CENI rejects the registration ofa candidacy, the candidate heading the list may file a complaint immediatelybefore the Constitutional Court which shall issue a decision withinfourty-eight hours.
