(1) Any person orpolitical organization denied of registration for candidature shall have the rightto lodge a complaint to the Constituency Grievance Hearing Committee and get a decision.
(2) Any individual or political organization that objectsto the registration of a candidate shall have the right to lodge a complaint tothe Constituency Grievance Gearing Committee and seek a decision.
Comment
Section 2 of the ElectoralLaw of Ethiopia Amendment Proclamation No.532/2007 defines a “Constituency GrievanceHearing Committee” as a committee establishedin accordance with this Proclamation during elections to give administrativedecisions to complaints lodged at a regional electoral office, a constituencyand a polling station level. This is a committee established to decide onelection matters and thus it is more of an election tribunal.
