PoliticalParties (REGISTRATION AND REGULATION) ACT NO 15 OF 1993. 8 & 10

 

Where theRegistrar refuses to register a political <party, an officebearer of the party may, within twenty-one days after receiving the notice of refusal,appeal to the High Court and the High Court may make such order as it thinksfit.

 

10.1An office bearer of a political party inrespect of which the Registrar has issueda notice under section 9 (2) may, uponreceipt of the notice and before theperiod specified in section 9 (2) has elapsed, appeal to the HighCourt against the finding of theRegistrar contained in the notice of intended cancellationand the High Court may make such order as it thinks fit.

 

 

(2). Where theregistration of a political party has been can­celledas a result of a request of the party or because the party has ceased to exist, a person who was a member ofthe party at the time of cancellation may, within fourteen days afterthe publication of fhb notice of cancellation in the Gazelle, appeal tothe High Court against the cancellation and the High Court may make such order asit thinks fit.
