Summary of Any Action of theLaw Violation and Penalty

in accordance with

the Organic Act on theElection Commission B.E. 2550

Wrongdoings liable to thecriminal penalty

1.) Any person, who obstructsthe performance of duties of the Election Commission, the Provincial ElectionCommittee, a member of the Provincial Election Committee, the Director of theProvincial Election, a sub-committee or a member of a sub-committee inaccordance with this Organic Act, shall be liable to the penalty ofimprisonment of not exceeding one year or to a fine of not exceeding twentythousand Baht, or both (section 43 paragraph one).

If such obstruction is committed by doing an act ofviolence or by threatening to do an act of violence, the offender shall beliable to imprisonment of not exceeding two years or to a fine of not exceedingforty thousand Baht, or both (section 43 paragraph two).

Anyperson, who violates the provisions, shall be liable to imprisonment for a termof one to ten years and to a fine of twenty thousand to two hundred thousandBaht, and the court shall order the disfranchisement for a period of ten years
