23 General offences.

(1) It an offence —

(a) to hinder, obstruct,annoy, pester or otherwise influence any person in the vicinity of a pollingstation who is proceeding to vote;

(b) to make an election speech in the vicinity of a polling station;

(c) to maintain a kavabooth or entertainment tent within 50 metres of a polling station;

(d) to hinder, obstruct,annoy, threaten or abuse any official at a

polling station.

(2) If a police officer hasreasonable grounds to believe that any person has committed an offence againstsubsection (1), he may arrest the alleged offender without warrant.

(3) A person guilty of anoffence against this section is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding$500 or to imprisonment for any period not exceeding one year, or to both suchfine and imprisonment.
