The Law on the Register of Voters (Official Gazette No. 144/12)

Article 7

7.1 The central state administration body competent for general affairs (Hereinafter referred to as: the central body) establishes a single program solution for Keeping the voter register.

7.2 The central authority shall be responsible for processing the data from the voters' register and therein The purpose is to perform tasks related to the analysis of data from the voter register, Taking measures for the purpose of harmonization and accuracy of data, conclusion and Other work in accordance with this Law.

7.3 The Central Authority is the head of a collection of personal data on electoral law, In accordance with the regulations on the protection of personal data.

Article 11

The entry in the register of voters is done based on the data from the citizenship registries, collections of residence and residence records and travel records document.

The voter list is compiled by the Ministry of Public Administration (MPA) on the basis of the records of citizenship, permanent residence, travel documents, while records of people residing abroad are maintained by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). The Zagreb Office of General Administration, in co-ordination with the MFEA and Croatian diplomatic missions abroad, is responsible for compiling the voter list for voters without residency in Croatia.

Comment

The competent body in the Republic of Croatia for electoral register is the Ministry of Administration. The Ministry of Administration therefore provides State Electoral Commission with the voters’ data, list of voters for the elections and is in charge for all other matters regarding the voter registration.
