For the 2014 tripartite elections, MEC compiled a new voter register as the accuracy of the 2009 elections was questioned by majority of the stakeholders involved. For previous elections, some combination has been used as the registration has been undertaken only when there is an election. Then, the old voters roll has been updated by adding new registrants.
