Article 1: There is established in the Republic of Guinea in accordance with Articles 2 and 132 of the Constitution and Article 2 of the Electoral Code, the Independent National Electoral Commission designated institution (CENI), responsible for voter registration, organization, conduct, and supervision of voting and the announcement of provisional results.

The electoral roll is updated annually between 1^st and 31^st October, under the authority of the INEC, (Article 17 of the Electoral Code)
