According to Article 12 of the Decree No. 2010-0241 / PR / MID on the composition and functioning of the Independent National Electoral Commission, The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is responsible for supervising the elections. It has all power of investigation to ensure the fairness of the vote. To do this it: controls the management of the electoral roll; controls the preparation and revision of electoral rolls; and controls the printing and distribution of voter cards.
