The Yemeni election law of 2001 (Articles 9-18) stipulates that voter registration to be done manually. This will be amended soon as the Yemeni president signed a bylaw that allows election commission to use technology in voter registration. In the coming year, Yemen will use digital voter registration kits to create a new voter registry. All digital kits will be connected online to prevent duplication in names or any other data. TrueVoter? by M2SYS will be used as the software solution and UNDP will provide technical assistance to the Yemeni election commission.
