There is no single procedure for inscription, as voters register with their municipalities, which in turn hand their information to the Office of the Electoral Census for the creation of electoral rolls (see Artículo 35 of the Organic Law of the General Election Regime). While technology is certainly involved in the relaying of local information to authorities of the central government, details are not available regarding the use of technology at the local level to register voters. That being said, municipalities do have access to the database of the Electoral Census.
